In 1998, as expansion and diversification plans for Indian operations were put into place, Rajnish Wadhawan was instrumental in acquiring the Hyundai dealership at South Delhi. Under his dynamic leadership, the dealership has grown multifold both in size and volumes. In fact, Samara Hyundai is the first Hyundai dealership to cross first 5000 cars sale on all India bases in February’ 2000. This has led the turnover to skyrocket by 600% to US$ 45 million in 2006-07.

The people resources at Samara Hyundai have been nurtured carefully and successfully and as a matter of fact, staff strength has crossed 230 people inclusive of sales and service. This dedicated and motivated team has been the driving force to provide highest level of Customer Satisfaction and record the largest sales of Hyundai cars from a single Dealership.

The infrastructure of the Dealership has kept pace with its growth and with the farsightedness of the Management team, the Showroom was doubled in size in the year 2000 and facilities in order to handle approximately 500 cars per month. The service network is constantly being upgraded and expanded. With the integrated flagship workshop at Okhla the expansion of the same has increased the capacity to service 50 cars on daily basis. In the last 6 years 3 more Workshops have been opened to cover all 4 major zones in the Union Territory of Delhi taking the capacity to service to a whopping 3500 cars per month. Having got the approval for opening another Showroom and Workshop, which will be operational by the end of this year, we would have two Showrooms and five Service Centers to cater to a wider range of customers, Also, a stockyard is available at Okhla to process and be able to deliver 25-30 cars daily.
